PACE66 Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PACE66 collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use the PACE66 website, applications, features, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create or use an account, we may receive information such as your account identifier, email address, authentication-related identifiers, and account settings. Authentication may be provided through Amazon Cognito or other service providers.
Connected fitness information. If you choose to connect a supported fitness service, such as Strava or another supported provider, PACE66 may receive activity information authorized by you. Depending on the provider and activity, this may include activity type, date and time, distance, duration or moving time, elevation, calories, speed, heart-rate information, route or location information, and provider-specific activity identifiers and metadata.
Manually entered activities. If you log an activity manually, we collect the information you provide, which may include activity type, date, distance, duration, elevation, calories, heart rate, and notes.
Goals and preferences. We collect goals, measurement-unit preferences, connected-app settings, confirmed location information, and other preferences you provide to personalize the Service.
Location information. PACE66 may use a city, ZIP code, coordinates, or other location information that you provide or confirm. Certain features may infer an approximate location from location information associated with outdoor activities and ask you to confirm or change it. Location information may be used to identify nearby events and provide geographically relevant features.
Feedback. If you submit Beta feedback, we collect the feedback type, message, submission time, account identifier, associated email when available, page path, browser user-agent information, viewport dimensions, application build identifier, and an optional screenshot you choose to provide.
Technical information. We may collect technical and operational information needed to provide, secure, diagnose, and improve the Service, such as request information, timestamps, browser or device information, application errors, and service logs.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide and operate PACE66;
- authenticate users and maintain accounts;
- import, store, display, and process activities you authorize or enter;
- calculate goals, progress, performance statistics, averages, trends, and related insights;
- identify and recommend nearby activities and events that may help you pursue your goals;
- maintain your preferences and connected-service settings;
- process feedback, troubleshoot problems, and improve the Service;
- protect the security, integrity, and availability of PACE66;
- communicate with you about the Service when appropriate; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Connected Services
PACE66 accesses connected-service data only after you authorize the applicable connection. The information available to PACE66 depends on the provider, the permissions you grant, and the data the provider makes available.
Third-party services have their own privacy policies and terms. Your use of those services remains subject to their policies. Disconnecting a service stops future access as provided by the applicable integration, but information previously imported into PACE66 may remain until deleted in accordance with our retention and deletion practices.
4. Event Discovery and Third-Party Information
PACE66 may use your confirmed or approximate location and goal information to identify potentially relevant events. Event information may be obtained from public websites, search providers, event-registration services, organizers, or other third-party sources.
When you follow a link to an event organizer, registration provider, or other external website, that third party may collect information from you under its own privacy policy. PACE66 does not control third-party privacy practices.
5. How We Share Information
PACE66 may disclose information to service providers that process information on our behalf to operate the Service, such as cloud hosting, authentication, storage, monitoring, email, search, or other infrastructure providers. These providers receive information as needed to perform services for PACE66.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or valid governmental requests; protect the rights, safety, or security of users, PACE66, or others; investigate abuse or security incidents; or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of the Service, subject to applicable law.
PACE66 does not sell personal information for money. If our practices change in a manner that creates additional obligations under applicable privacy law, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide required rights or notices.
6. Feedback Screenshots
Screenshots submitted through the Feedback feature are optional. Screenshots may contain information visible on your screen, so review them before submitting and avoid including information you do not want PACE66 to receive.
Feedback screenshots are stored in private cloud storage and are used for purposes such as investigating reports, troubleshooting, evaluating feedback, and improving PACE66.
7. Data Storage and Security
PACE66 uses cloud infrastructure and reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. These measures may include access controls, encryption, private storage, authentication, and logging.
No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, meet legitimate operational and security needs, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
We may retain limited records after deletion when required or permitted for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backup integrity, or dispute resolution.
9. Your Choices and Controls
Depending on available PACE66 features and applicable law, you may be able to:
- review or update certain account settings and preferences;
- change your confirmed location or measurement preferences;
- disconnect supported third-party fitness integrations;
- edit or delete supported manually entered activities;
- request access to or deletion of personal information; and
- request deletion of your PACE66 account.
For privacy or deletion requests, contact info@pace66.com.
10. California Privacy
California residents may have rights regarding their personal information under applicable California law. Depending on the law that applies to PACE66 and your request, these rights may include rights to know or access information, correct information, delete information, and receive information about how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed.
PACE66 will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights provided by applicable law. To submit a privacy request, contact info@pace66.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
11. Cookies and Local Browser Storage
PACE66 and its authentication or infrastructure providers may use cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies when necessary to authenticate users, maintain sessions, remember preferences, provide functionality, secure the Service, and understand technical operation. We do not use these technologies to obtain your passwords or authentication tokens for unrelated purposes.
12. Children's Privacy
PACE66 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to PACE66, contact us so that we can review and address the matter.
13. International Users
PACE66 is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from another country, information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as PACE66 evolves or our practices or legal obligations change. We will update the effective date when changes are made. Where appropriate, we may provide additional notice or request renewed acknowledgement.
